Frequently Asked Questions

What is Iron Academy doing to clean and sanitize buildings, buses, etc.?

Iron Academy is encouraging students to use hand sanitizer and wash hands frequently. Students and staff are required to use hand sanitizer every time they enter the building, before and after eating lunch, and other times throughout the day. Teachers and staff are spraying surfaces with lysol as frequently as possible without disturbing classes. Use of the ionizer and UV light wand are also overseen by teachers to kill germs and bacteria on commonly used surfaces.

How do you determine if school needs to be closed?

To make a deterimantion of school closure, we would await instruction from the County Health Department.

If school does close, what factors will be used to reopen?

Again, we would await guidance from the County Health Department to provide the timeline and reopening instructions.

Is Iron Academy prepared for long-term closure?

Yes. We are currently preparing teachers and students on the use of Microsoft Teams in order to hold classes outside the school building.
