Elijah Lapinskes

Elijah Lapinskes

Elijah Lapinskes is a seventh grader in his second year at Iron Academy.  He followed his older brother Ben here after being in the public school system.  Elijah  has enjoyed getting to learn the Iron way of life first hand.  After earning his challenge coin, he has gone on to serve in various roles at the school.  He has served as a tribe leader for Josheb, but also enjoys being a team member in other settings.  He really enjoys Mr. Mack's science classes, but his favorite subject is history, especially military history.  His activities at school have included running cross country and wrestling, but his absolute favorite was singing and acting in the Art of the Swordsman production of "Newsies"  last year.  He also has had a lot  of personal growth in the area of his Bible knowledge with the "retelling" method used in his Bible classes the past two years.

When he's not making noise on stage, he's making it at home with his siblings, Sarah, Ben, and Silas, on the family farm.  His hobbies include music in any form, putting together model kits,  and making a mess in the kitchen, aka cooking.  He has a shrine in his room to Elvis Presley, and can sing any Elvis song on demand, on pitch.  His love of military history has lead him to join the Capital City Young Marine group, where he participates in community service  and military-like drills and activities.  He truly has an old soul that makes him fun to be around because it always brings an interesting and new perspective to any situation (just ask his teachers)    Elijah and his family are grateful that he has the opportunity to be himself in a supportive but guiding environment.  They look forward to his continued growth in the coming years at Iron Academy.
