Art Club

The ART Club is an environment where young men will be encouraged to cultivate and hone their artistic talents and interests. Through a series of fun projects, the student will learn to use various mediums (i.e., pencils, paints, sculpture, & computer software), techniques, and tricks of the trade to develop the creative side of their brains. Some of these projects will be as simple as creating a comic book character (in which the student will learn anatomy for artists, foreshortening techniques, and perspective drawing) to more advanced assignments utilizing still life models (in which the student will learn basic color mixing, rendering textures, and lighting/shadowing), and graphic design techniques (for example, we will have a contest to design the cover of the IA Year Book!). The club will be held at IA in room 153 every other Wednesday between 3:30 and 5:00. A schedule of planned projects will be made available to members of the club.
