I am very excited to be a part of the Iron Academy staff this year. I have two children, Mary Margaret and Parker. We lead a busy but fun life between cheer and basketball. I felt the Lord calling me to teach many years ago and haven't looked back. I graduated from Meredith College with a degree in art and began my career as an Art Director with the NC Department of Public Instruction and later the NC Electric Cooperatives. While I loved art and graphic design, I felt a strong pull that I belonged in the classroom. Following in my mother's footsteps I started my education career. I began teaching transitional kindergarten while I completed my Masters in Education at Liberty University. Upon graduation I began teaching art at Neuse Christian Academy. In my years there I also taught middle and high school Bible, Science, History and Drama. I consider it an honor to be able to teach young people. It is my prayer to partner with the other staff and parents at Iron Academy to minister to these young men and see them grow spiritually and academically throughout the year. Classes Taught: 9th English, 9th Ancient History, 10th World History, 11th US History Books I’m reading: The Founding Father's Guide to the Constitution, Max Lucado's Shepherd's Arms: Hope & Encouragement from the 23 Psalm, I also enjoy reading mystery novels.
