The primary tool in Iron Academy’s arsenal is the Blade Maintenance Plan. In alliance with the family, we formulate a unique personal objectives plan for each student according to his unique strengths and weaknesses. The plan will incorporate objectives in the areas of the Honor Code, academics, and general physical preparedness. The plan is typically finalized by the end of the first quarter. In addition to the time spent weekly in conversation about each individual student’s needs, the Iron Academy staff devotes four days throughout the year specifically for reviewing Blade Maintenance plans. Staff observations and other important notations will be entered into each student’s file.
We require much of our students–we stretch them, expect them to be better than they were, and hold them entirely accountable. We remove metal, sharpening dull spots. They grow–and they love it. Take a look at the example below.
Our young men are pursuing a higher standard than their peers outside Iron Academy. This is how we ally with parents to build disciples of Christ and scholars. This is Iron Academy.
